Hello, World.

I'm Sibte Hussain, a full-stack engineer based in Lahore, Pakistan. Most of what I build lives around React, Next.js, Node.js, Django, and React Native. Basically whatever gets an idea from "wouldn't it be cool if" to something you can actually click on.

I do my best work when I own a feature end to end: interface, APIs, data, auth, the works. Outside of that, I'm the guy friends call when their PC needs building or their phone needs a custom ROM it definitely didn't need. Same instinct, honestly, I just like taking things apart to see how they actually work.

Off Duty

Gaming

Mostly single-player, story-first stuff: Cyberpunk 2077, the GTA series, The Last of Us. I'll jump into Valorant or Apex with friends when someone drags me into a lobby.

PC Building

I'm the unofficial IT department of my friend group, building and speccing PCs for whoever asks nicely (or brings snacks).

Phone Tinkering

I root phones and flash custom ROMs for fun, mostly just to squeeze out a bit more performance or battery life. Not always necessary. Always fun.

Music

Pop and upbeat, mostly. I am not a lo-fi-while-coding person.

I own the whole feature

UI, API, database, auth, deployment: I move through all of it instead of throwing work over a wall and hoping it lands right.

I sweat the boring stuff

Slow pages, janky loading states, API calls that block the UI for no reason. That is where I actually spend my time.

I write code for the next person

Usually that person is me, six months later, with no memory of why any of this works. I try not to make that guy angry.

Software Engineer

PlanLab Solutions

Building and maintaining the core product across web and mobile, mostly Next.js and React Native, with Django doing the heavy lifting on the backend.

Sep 2023 - Oct 2024

Associate Software Developer

Agile District

Built out React and Next.js platforms, migrated a chunk of legacy JavaScript to TypeScript, and got the local dev environment Dockerized so it stopped only working on one laptop.

2018 - 2022

Where I learned the fundamentals, and where "it works on my machine" stopped being an acceptable final answer.
